Bruno Latour
About the author
Bruno Latour (1947–2022) was a French philosopher, anthropologist, and sociologist whose work fundamentally reshaped how we understand science, technology, and modernity. A leading figure in science and technology studies, he co-developed actor–network theory alongside Michel Callon and John Law, challenging the entrenched divide between subject and object. He taught at the École des Mines de Paris before joining Sciences Po Paris as a professor and scientific director of its Medialab.
His landmark books — Laboratory Life, Science in Action, and We Have Never Been Modern — remain essential texts in contemporary social thought.
