A. G. Lafley, born in Keene in 1947, is an American businessman widely regarded as one of the most consequential corporate leaders of his era.

He served two separate stints as chairman, president, and CEO of Procter & Gamble — from 2000 to 2010 and again from 2013 to 2015 — before retiring in 2016. Credited with revitalizing P&G under the mantra "Consumer is Boss," he championed billion-dollar brands such as Tide, Crest, and Pampers while introducing Swiffer and Febreze through an open-innovation model called Connect + Develop. Between his two tenures, he advised on CEO succession and executive leadership.
