Serge Tisseron

Born in Valence, France, in 1948, Serge Tisseron is a French psychoanalyst and psychiatrist with a PhD in Psychology and a senior research fellowship at University Paris VII Denis Diderot. His work centers on the relationships between youth, media, and images, with particular focus on how information and communication technology shapes young people. The author of approximately forty books — many written for parents and translated into several languages — his clear, precise style has earned him best-seller status.
He received the Prix du livre de Télévision in 2001 and the Stassart Prize from the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences in 2002.
