Michel Serres
About the author
Michel Serres (1930–2019) was a French philosopher and historian of science whose transversal, interdisciplinary approach set him apart in contemporary thought. Born in Agen, he became a member of both the Académie française and the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, publishing more than 70 works across the anthropology of science and technology, philosophy of communication and digital technologies, education, and ecology. By bridging hard sciences and the humanities, Serres developed an original line of thinking that left a lasting mark on contemporary philosophy.
