MICHAEL WATKINS is a professor of practice at INSEAD, a European business school. He is also the founding partner of Genesis Advisors, a leadership strategy consulting firm. Dr.

Watkins has authored several books including The First 90 Days and Breakthrough Business Negotiation. He co-authored Predictable Surprises, The First 90 Days in Government, and other titles. Dr.

Watkins graduated from the University of Waterloo, the University of Western Ontario and Harvard University. He previously served as a professor at the Harvard Business School.
