Mark Fisher (1968-2017) was a British writer, critic, cultural theorist, and lecturer known for his work on politics, philosophy, and popular culture. He authored several influential books, including "Capitalist Realism: Is There No Alternative?" which explores the widespread sense that not only is capitalism the only viable political and economic system, but also that it is now impossible even to imagine a coherent alternative to it.

Fisher's work is celebrated for its critical analysis of neoliberalism and its impact on culture and society.
