Hugh Dundas

Sir Hugh Spencer Lisle Dundas, nicknamed "Cocky", was a Royal Air Force fighter pilot during the Second World War who achieved rapid advancement, becoming one of the youngest group captains in the RAF by age 23 after being promoted to squadron leader and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross at 21. He retired from the RAF in 1949 and subsequently became a senior broadcasting executive, receiving a knighthood in 1987 for his services to business and the media.
