Howard Gardner is an American developmental psychologist and the John H. and Elisabeth A. Hobbs Research Professor of Cognition and Education at Harvard University1.
He is renowned for his theory of multiple intelligences, which he introduced in his 1983 book "Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences". Gardner has authored over thirty books and numerous research articles, and his work has been translated into over thirty languages. In 2005, he was recognized as one of the 100 most influential public intellectuals in the world by Foreign Policy and Prospect magazines.
