Georges Canguilhem
About the author
Georges Canguilhem (1904–1995) was a French philosopher and physician whose work centered on epistemology and the philosophy of science, with a particular focus on the philosophy of biology. Born in Castelnaudary, he brought a rare dual grounding in medicine and philosophy to questions about scientific knowledge and its foundations. He died in Le Port-Marly at the age of ninety-one, leaving behind a body of thought that shaped how subsequent generations approached the history and theory of the life sciences.
