François Jarrige

Born in 1978, François Jarrige is a French historian and lecturer in contemporary history at the University of Burgundy, where he has also held a position at the Institut universitaire de France. Trained at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where he earned his agrégation and doctorate, he focuses on the history of labor, technology, and industrialization examined through social and ecological lenses. In 2022, he became one of twenty co-presidents of the Association pour la défense des terres, a financial support body for the Soulèvements de la Terre collective.
