About the author

Dr. Rob Adams is a faculty member in the management department at the University of Texas at Austin's business school, where he teaches in the MBA program and engages as an active angel investor. He has a rich background in entrepreneurship and venture capital, having been involved in the IPOs, mergers, or acquisitions of about forty early-stage ventures.

Before joining the University of Texas, Adams founded AV Labs and was a founding partner in several venture funds, and held executive roles at Lotus, Business Matters, and Pervasive Software.
