Born in Guadalajara on August 27, 1952, Don Miguel Ruiz is a Mexican author whose work sits at the intersection of Toltec tradition and personal development. His writings have found their strongest following within the New Thought movement, which draws on ancient teachings as a path to spiritual enlightenment. Ruiz's work has been compared to that of Carlos Castaneda, author of The Teachings of Don Juan.
