David Frayne

David Frayne is a sociologist who teaches at Cardiff University in Wales. His research spans the sociology of work and of happiness, consumer culture, political ecology and utopian studies — themes that run through his first book, The Refusal of Work, published by Zed Books in 2015. In 2016 The Guardian named it one of six essential reads on today’s capitalist system.
