Christophe Bonneuil
About the author
Christophe Bonneuil, born in 1968, is a research director in history at the CNRS and teaches history of science and environmental studies at the EHESS. Admitted to the École Normale Supérieure in 1987, he trained in life sciences before turning to the history of science. His work sits at the intersection of environmental history and the history of knowledge, most notably in L'événement Anthropocène (2013, with Jean-Baptiste Fressoz), which reframes the Anthropocene as a historical and political question, and in collaborative volumes on technoscience and postwar France.
