Celeste Headlee

Celeste Headlee, born in 1969 in Whittier, is an American radio journalist, author, public speaker, and musician whose two-decade career in public radio spans some of its most prominent platforms. She has hosted Georgia Public Broadcasting's "On Second Thought," co-hosted the national morning news program The Takeaway, and served as Midwest Correspondent for NPR's Day to Day. She also co-hosts the weekly PBS series Retro Report.

Her book We Need to Talk: How to Have Conversations That Matter (Harper Wave, 2017) extends her focus on the art of meaningful human communication.
