Cecil 'Cec' Murphey, born January 28, 1933, is an American writer and public speaker whose prolific output spans nonfiction, biography, memoir, fiction, and inspirational literature. He is best known for two high-profile collaborations: 90 Minutes in Heaven with Don Piper and Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story with Dr. Ben Carson, both bestsellers.

He has also co-written books with figures including Franklin Graham, football player Shaun Alexander, and Bishop Eddie Long. As a speaker, Murphey addresses topics ranging from Christianity and faith to caregiving and male sexual abuse.
