Catharine Arnold

Catharine Arnold is a British author, journalist, and academic who studied English at Girton College, Cambridge, and holds a postgraduate degree in psychology. She is best known for her five-book "London" series of popular history works examining the city's dead, mentally ill, vices, crime, and Shakespearean life, published between 2006 and 2015. Arnold has also written Pandemic 1918: The Story of the Deadliest Influenza in History and served as UK Council for Psychotherapy and Counselling Writer in Residence in 2020.
