Born in San Antonio in 1965, Brené Brown is an American academic, author, and podcaster whose work on shame, vulnerability, and leadership has reached a remarkably broad public audience. Her 2010 TEDx talk became one of the most widely viewed of its kind, launching a career that has produced six consecutive number-one New York Times bestselling books, including Daring Greatly and Dare to Lead. She holds the Huffington Foundation Endowed Chair at the University of Houston's Graduate College of Social Work and is a visiting professor at UT Austin's McCombs School of Business.
