Ann Shulgin
About the author
Laura Ann Shulgin (née Gotlieb; 1931–2022) was an American author born in Wellington and best known for her collaboration with her husband, chemist Alexander Shulgin. Together they co-wrote two landmark works: PiHKAL (Phenethylamines I Have Known and Loved) and TiHKAL (Tryptamines I Have Known and Loved), books that combined personal narrative with detailed psychedelic chemistry. She died in Lafayette in 2022.
