André Green
About the author
André Green (1927–2012) was a French psychoanalyst born in Cairo who became one of the most prominent figures in post-Lacanian psychoanalytic thought. He spent much of his career in Paris, where he died in January 2012. Working at the intersection of clinical practice and theory, Green made significant contributions to the understanding of affect, the work of the negative, and borderline states, engaging critically with both Freudian and Lacanian traditions while forging his own distinctive theoretical path.
