Alexander Sanger

Alexander C. Sanger is an American reproductive rights activist and former Chair of the International Planned Parenthood Council who previously served as President of Planned Parenthood of New York City and President of The Margaret Sanger Center International from 1991 to 2000. He also served as a United Nations Population Fund Goodwill Ambassador.
Sanger is the grandson of Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood and opener of America's first birth control clinic in Brownsville, Brooklyn, in 1916.
