Sydney Alvin Field was an American author who wrote several books on screenwriting, beginning with Screenplay: The Foundations of Screenwriting. He led workshops and seminars on producing salable screenplays, and his ideas on structure became widely used by Hollywood film producers to evaluate screenplay potential.
