Richard Schmalensee

Richard Schmalensee is the chairman of Market Platform Dynamics and is recognized as an authority on market design and structure. He is also the dean of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s school of management and a professor of management and economics at MIT. Schmalensee served as a member of the U.

S. President’s Council of Economic Advisers from 1989 to 1991 and has consulted for numerous private firms and government agencies. He has co-authored the book "Paying With Plastic" and is the author of "Invisible Engines".
