John Anthony Rizzo was an American attorney who served as a lawyer at the Central Intelligence Agency for 34 years. During the first nine years of the war on terror, he held the positions of deputy counsel and acting general counsel of the CIA, a period when the agency maintained dozens of detainees in black site prisons globally.
