Geoffrey Moore, born in 1946, is an American organizational theorist, management consultant, and author known for his work "Crossing the Chasm: Marketing and Selling High-Tech Products to Mainstream Customers". He began his professional life as an English professor at Olivet College before transitioning to the technology sector. Moore is the founder and chairman of The Chasm Group, a consulting firm specializing in technology-enabled markets, and a venture partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures and Wildcat Venture Partners.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Stanford University and a Ph.D.
