Ezra Klein (born May 9, 1984, in Irvine) is an American liberal political journalist and commentator who rose from political blogger to one of the most influential voices in American media. He co-founded Vox in 2014 alongside Matthew Yglesias and Melissa Bell, serving as editor-in-chief before moving to The New York Times as a columnist in 2021. He hosts The Ezra Klein Show podcast and has held editorial roles at The Washington Post and The American Prospect.

He is the author of Why We're Polarized (2020) and co-author of Abundance (2025).
