Ben Horowitz is an American businessman, investor, and author best known as co-founder of the influential venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, built alongside Marc Andreessen. Before turning to investing, he co-founded enterprise software company Opsware, serving as its president and CEO until Hewlett-Packard acquired it in 2007. He has channeled his hard-won operational experience into two books: The Hard Thing About Hard Things: Building a Business When There Are No Easy Answers, a candid guide to startups, and What You Do Is Who You Are: How to Create Your Business Culture.
