Post whatever is left as your profit. GAAP encourages you to focus on sales and expenses first. The logic is that if you sell enough, everything else will fall into place. However, GAAP can be overly complex for a small business and can lead to the Survival Trap. To escape the Survival Trap and transform your small business into a cash-generating machine, you need to make a firm decision.
