The transition from traditional information sources like phone directories, 411 services, yellow pages, and libraries to digital platforms has been monumental. Thirty years ago, the concept of a business like Google, which now dominates the online search industry by providing 600,000 answers per second and generating significant revenue, would have been unimaginable. A study in 2010 highlighted the efficiency of Google, showing a significant time saving when searching for information online compared to traditional methods, thereby assigning a high value to each search.

With computers housing billions of transistors, the holos boasts a processing capacity a trillion times greater and continues to expand rapidly.
