Eric Ries

About the author

Eric Ries is an American entrepreneur and author known for creating the Lean Startup methodology. He founded several startups including IMVU where he served as CTO. Ries joined Kleiner Perkins as a venture advisor to share his Lean Startup principles.

He authored the bestselling book The Lean Startup in 2011, which explains using rapid prototypes and customer feedback for new product development. Ries promotes continuous innovation and eliminating waste through Lean principles adapted from manufacturing.
